Halting the loss of biodiversity has always been a particular concern of ours. After all, slowing down the decline in species diversity, the loss of ecosystems and the reduction in genetic diversity is one of the greatest challenges society faces today. As climate change is further exacerbating these negative developments, urgent action is needed. At the same time, many companies, local authorities and organisations still have little idea of how they can reduce the negative impacts of their activities on biodiversity at the same time promote protection of species and ecosystems. This is exactly where we come in:

• We provide support in developing a biodiversity strategy with specific goals and measures (biodiversity transition plans).

• We provide support for biodiversity in sustainability reporting.

• We identify significant risks with regard to biodiversity.

• We calculate the biodiversity footprint of products and processes.

• We support stakeholder processes in large-scale nature conservation projects, design and moderate them, or prepare large-scale nature conservation projects through dialogue processes and mission statement development.

A particular focus of our expertise lies in sustainable food systems. We are familiar with agricultural processes in Germany and internationally, we understand food processing, and we can measure impacts on biodiversity and thus help to manage them. By integrating biodiversity into sustainability management, we always think holistically and take into account conflicting goals, synergies and interactions.

We are delighted to contribute this expertise to Biodiversity in Good Company through lectures and participation in working groups. At the same time, we look forward to exchanging ideas with other members of the network in order to learn and work together to promote the protection of biodiversity!
