As a food company, it is important to us at Schwartauer Werke to conserve, defend, protect, and nurture a wide variety of fruits and cereals, and other crops so everyone can enjoy the goodness of nature. We rely on intact ecosystems and a wide diversity of species.

With special attention on pollinators, we initiated the bee careful initiative back in 2014 to raise awareness on the importance of bees and pollinators and support pollinator health and habitats. It is our goal to conserve the goodness of nature in our products while fostering regenerative agriculture practices including biodiversity, and water stewardship throughout our entire value chain.

With the bee careful initiative, it is our mission to:

• encourage regenerative agriculture practices on our partners’ farms

• promote soil health and pollinator habitats along our value chain, and,

• drive responsible usage of water in areas with high water stress

Together with our closest allies - the farmers - we are committed to promote regenerative practices. We not only want to produce delicious products, but also ensure that the basis for this is protected. Pollinators are essential for a diverse diet and keep the ecosystem in balance.
