The Loss of Species and Habitats is a Global Challenge
When the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety launched the Business and Biodiversity Initiative ‘Biodiversity in Good Company’ on the occasion of the 9th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD-COP 9)) in May 2008 in Bonn, this was a global signal. Almost all member companies are active on a global level. 'Biodiversity in Good Company' networks internationally and contributes to the global dialogue, for example at the CBD COPs.
