On February, 5 an informative meeting took place between Mr Raúl Ledesma Huerta, Ecuadorian Minister of the Environment, and Dr. Katrin Reuter, CEO of the 'Biodiversity in Good Company' Initiative.

In occasion of his visit in Berlin for the Fruit Logistica, whose official partner country 2020 was Ecuador, Mr Ledesma Huerta, Ecuadorian Ministry of the Environment, and a delegation of his department participated in a one-to-one meeting with Dr. Katrin Reuter to collect inputs on ongoing business activities engaging in favour of a sustainable use of natural resources in Germany. Dr. Reuter held a presentation of the Initiative´s goals and commitment, its achievements in the past 10 years and provided with examples of members´ activities. Ministry Ledesma Huerta informed Dr. Reuter of the strong commitment of Ecuadorian business and governmental stakeholders on natural resources in general and highlighted the cruciality of reforestation in his country.
