Our Motivation

At PUMA we believe that our position as the creative leader in Sportlifestyle gives us the opportunity—and responsibility—to contribute to a better world for generations to come. We recently introduced PUMAVision, our sustainability concept that will drive our business towards cleaner, greener, safer and more sustainable practices. On a global scale our activities can contribute to the preservation of valuable ecosystems and species. Our membership in the Business and Biodiversity Initiative will assist us in our initiatives and actions and help us to incorporate conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity into our management systems.

Our Focus

  1. The elimination of harmful substances from our products and our supply chain;
  2. The collection and reporting of environmental key performance data, such as water, energy and waste for our own entities with the ambitious target of a 25% reduction between 2005 and 2010 on a per employee basis;
  3. Capacity building projects for our manufacturers to initiate environmental management systems and sustainability reporting initiatives at selected PUMA suppliers;
  4. Support of "Cotton Made in Africa";
  5. Using renewable energy and recycled paper where economically feasible;
  6. Increase the usage of sustainable material in our all our products;
  7. Implementation of climate protection initiatives in order to reduce the carbon "paw print" along our supply chain and our own entities.
