Our Targets

• We continue our environment-friendly policy on returnable bottles and want to clearly position ourselves within the context of environmental policy.
• We are currently preparing an up-to-date sustainability report.
• We continue the successful collaboration with the WWF in protecting the rain forest in Dzanga Sangha in Central Africa.
• In future, we will also support environmental projects in Germany.

Our Motivation

Krombacher Brauerei has adopted a company policy that stipulates a conscientious and cautious handling with natural resources. With it, the brewery takes up a clear position concerning quality and the environment. Our packaging policy is focused on returnables, which delivers an important contribution to the protection of the environment and climate. For years, Krombacher Brauerei has been committed to protecting the rain forest in Central Africa. Our goal is to focus political and public attention on biodiversity.

Our Focus

Our focus is clearly set on the policy of returnable packaging, which also implicates an expansion of our returnable bottling systems. Moreover, we attempt to explore and utilise every technical option to save energy, packaging materials and water as well as setting up an efficient waste management system. Last but not least, we attach great importance on the careful interaction with nature on location and re-naturalisation projects, which is examplified by the launch of our rain forest project in 2002.
