WWF Released „Living Planet Report 2014“

World Wildlife Fund released the 2014 Living Planet Report on 30 September 2014. Produced in collaboration with ZSL, the Water Footprint Network and the Global Footprint Network, the report tracks thousands of species populations and measures how the impact of the way we live our lives is affecting our environment.

Three planetary boundaries appear to have already been transgressed: biodiversity loss, and changes to the climate and nitrogen cycle. The report states that vertebrate populations around the world have declined by an average of 52% between 1970 and 2010.
