Ted Talks have a video I recently found about how we can learn from Geckos. Their feet apparently bond with surfaces in a unique way, which was able to teach people working with nano-technology something about adhesives.
These people then made a robot gecko (really) and came up with a hypothesis for the biologists to test.
Biomimicry is something that we propound here, so biomutualism is a nice addition to the vocabulary.
The video is great, it gives a way better explanation that I can, and is worth the 15 minutes.
Enjoy.
As today is the first day of COP15, we've prepared an overview of all things Biodiversity and Climate Change.

TED Talks have a video up about how nano-technologists and biologists have been helped by the humble Gecko.
