Business and Biodiversity Initiative

Based on your Biodiversity Quick Check you have determined that the mining of commodities, the use of certain materials and raw materials or the acquisition of certain preliminary products has a direct or indirect influence on biodiversity.  The following checklists provide input and tips to help you understand these impacts more precisely and can provide tips and ideas on how to act in response.

The Checklist C 3–1 presents the primary checklist that should provide you with a general orientation around integrating biodiversity considerations in your entire supply chain.  The Detailed Checklists C 3–2 to C 3–5 should aid you through the self-analysis process while suggesting practical steps throughout the various stations in your supply chain. See Detailed Checklist C7 Production and Processing (Detail-Checklisten C 7 (Produktion & Verarbeitung)) for aspects concerning acquisition of already processed materials as well as acquisition of primary products while accounting for their manufacturing process.

With the checklists' various fields of action you will be able to assess your company's situation.  For each field of action, there is a quick check along with multiple other detailed checklists.  Fill in the relevant checklists one after the other.  At the end you can print out and send or email us the completed questionnaire.
